Yasmin : Another kind of Interzone:

In the list Yasmin http://www.media.uoa.gr/yasmin/ , Ricardo Mbarak invite me to contribute to the topic “EDUCATIONAL ISSUES AROUND MED RIM (HOT #2)” and propose that members of Interzone be part of it. Mine are “I. A presentation of general semantics” and “II. Interzone: a non-Aristotelian human experiment on Internet”. A third part is coming.

They are presently having an exchange on the theme “The Perception of Climate Change at http://www.media.uoa.gr/yasmin/viewtopic.php?t=942 extremely interesting. Mails coming from all over the world talking about their observations and sending data on the subject. They make it very well, and what I first thought was going to be an artist list as other artist lists is becoming a real Academy on line; this is the first time I am seeing a group working similar ways as Interzone. Impressive ! The list is supported by UNESCO.

The financial news in June here have been rich in scandals of different kinds, to the point I decided to list them on a page to get a vision of the set and see what was coming out of it. Parallelly, I have retranscripted a very interesting program on France Culture : La rumeur du Monde France-Culture, le 24 juin 2006 by Jean-Claude Casanova and Jean Marie Colombani : « Le pouvoir et d’argent dans l’entreprise » (Power and money in enterprises) http://www.geocities.com/clemsnide23/econonarumeur7.html : Following the recent scandals (Vinci, EADS) concerning some bosses of big company going away with huge “remunerations”, the journalists here invite some experts, Daniel cohen and Frederic Lemaître, to try to understand where the money comes from exactly, and what’s going on there.

The whole might look uneasy to read, and at first sight, limited to professionals of economy. But the result is worth it. I have included an automatic translater, easy to use and without any limit for the contents and am prepairing some comment, for it to become more accessible.
