Hi all,

This month has been very busy : I have quit a job and got another one, have got friends here for the holidays, created a new site of general semantics, got a camescope and started to make some videos. Academy project: Dylan Claydon has left England recently with his family, wife and kids, to traval through France and find a place to live. He is sending me the following mail to transmit to the Zone :
"We're in the Tarn et Garonne travelling with caravan,van and yurt having been on the road for about three months now. Staying with Brigitte Tichane of "Enfants D'Abord" where there has just been a home schooling rencontre. Very interesting but have decided that we don't want to stay here and are moving again tomorrow for near Condom.
We heard some interesting news at the meeting from a man named Eddy who is trying to get a group of families together to take over Le Cun de Larzac which I guess you've heard of and is looking for a new management team apparently. I'm not so sure that this gang is going to get things together but I'm still interested and maybe it can happen with another group if not them. I'm going to go and check it out even if Eddy and friends don't make it. They've got a lot of excellent facilities but it needs a large team I think. Some other families would be essential for us. Have you met anyone recently with kids who might be interested in this sort of thing. Could be good to use for Interzone stuff as well. If Eddy gets it sorted out I think there is some mutual ground between his gangs interests and the Academy's"

- Joujouka Black Eye in itunes : http://www.myspace.com/mastermusiciansofjoujouka The Master of Musicians classic 1995 CD "Joujouka Black Eyes" (Sub Rosa Records) is now available on itunes.com.
The CD produced by Frank Rynne in 1994 features 16 tracks including "Braihim Jones Joujouka Very Stoned" Hamri's homage to the errant Stone's visists to the village in 1967 and 1968. This Cd features very intimate recording of the musicians done over a period of three months in Joujouka.

From Frank Rynne: The new master Musicians of Joujouka CD BOUJELOUD will be previewed all this week at the Burning Man festival in Nevada. The preview will take place as part of an installation featuring a giant version of Brion Gysin and Ian Sommerville's Dreamachine psychedelic object d'art. Joujouka music was both Gysin and William Burrrough's favourite soundtrack to the Dreamacchine experience. The installation will be open each night from midnight at the Entheon Village. The Masters wish all at Burning Man their best and wish they could be there in person. Thanks to Will Zane and his colleges for asking for our participation in this event. The Naropa University Archive Project is preserving and providing access to over 5000 hours of recordings made at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. The collection was developed under the auspices of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics (the university's Department of Writing and Poetics) founded in 1974 by poets Anne Waldman and Allen Ginsberg. It contains readings, lectures, performances, seminars, panels and workshops conducted at Naropa by many of the leading figures of the U.S.literary avant-garde. The collection represents several generations of artists who have contributed to aesthetic and cultural change in the postmodern era. The Naropa University Archive Project seeks to enhance appreciation and understanding of post-World War II American literature and its role in social change, cultural criticism, and the literary arts through widespread dissemination of the actual voices of the poets and writers of this period.
